Adult
Fellowship
Saint Francis Church
offers a variety of activities for adult fellowship:
Parish
Women -
Each woman
of the Saint Francis Parish is a member of the Episcopal Church Women
(ECW). The major fund raiser of the ECW is the annual Antiques Show and
Sale which is held in early June. Within the ECW are five guilds. Each
guild has particular charities which each supports.
Saint
Anne's Guild
Saint Anne's meets at 7:30 in the evening the fourth Mondays of the month
(September through June) and supports Good Samaritan Hospital by knitting
preemie hats and booties. The members are also knitting (or crocheting)
afghans for residents of Vermont Care Center. St. Anne's Guild holds a
Book Sale in the Spring (and again during the annual Rummage Sale). Another
annual event is a Christmas Auction held at a member's home. In addition
to the monthly meeting,
St. Anne's leads a day tour in the summer and holds a summer dinner party
for members, spouses and friends. Any money raised by
St. Anne's Guild is distributed to various Parish and outreach charities.
Saint Cecilia's Guild
Saint Cecilia's meets on the fourth Thursdays in January, March, May,
September and November. Monies are earned by sponsoring a monthly Bridge
Tournament and by holding three "Pops" parties during the year.
Projects include purchasing Bibles for graduating high school seniors,
supporting of special parish projects, contributing to the Harbor Interfaith
Shelter and the Outreach Scholarship Fund.
Saint Clare's Guild
Saint Clare's meets on the second Thursdays of the month at 11 a.m. from
September through May usually in a member's home. The Guild's Christian
Social Relations project is to visit homebound members of the Parish.
Saint Margaret's Guild
Saint Margaret's meets at 11 a.m. on the fourth Wednesdays of the month
(except for July and August) at the homes of members. A luncheon is served.

the Church Library. St. Margaret's Guild Social Relations project is the
St. Barnabas Senior Center.
Saint Teresa's Guild
This guild meets monthly on Thursdays or Fridays, alternating luncheon
and dinner meetings at members' homes, Tourigney Hall or local restaurants.
The Guild supports local charities and outreach programs which benefit
children and their families who are the victims of illness, abuse or poverty.
